Mountain Medicine Woman Music

Mountain Medicine Woman wasn’t something I set out to become.

I have been writing stories for years about the things I know: mountains and gardens, hospice and death, childhood wounds and healing, faith and doubt, women finding their own voices, and the strange holiness tucked inside ordinary life.

Then one night, I discovered some of those stories had songs hiding inside them.

With the help of AI, I began turning my own words, stories, and reflections into music, using a voice modeled from my own. The technology may help carry the tune, but the stories underneath it are mine. They were lived before they were ever sung.

These songs come from the same place Granny Woman has always come from: a little patch of Appalachian ground where sorrow and joy grow side by side, where death sometimes sits down at the kitchen table, where gardens get wild, women remember themselves, and there is still enough light coming through the broken places to throw rainbows.

I don’t quite know where Mountain Medicine Woman is going yet.

I just know she found her voice.
So pull up a chair.

These are the songs from the holler.
