A letter from the Granny Woman’s porch…
Baby, I want to tell you something I wish somebody had told me long ago.
When your body starts to heal—not because of a pill, or a cream, or another supplement—but because you’ve come back home to yourself, that’s not coincidence. That’s not magic. That’s truth waking up in your bones.
I’ve spent years chasing healing. I’ve swallowed the powders, the tinctures, the promises in pill bottles. I’ve paid good money for quick fixes and Western logic. Some of it helped a little. Most of it left me still tired, still inflamed, still not whole.
But lately…
I’ve been waking up before the sun and not needing more sleep.
I’ve been having regular bowel movements for the first time in years—formed, gentle, calm.
The skin that once itched and screamed is starting to quiet down.
And let me tell you something, child: I didn’t find that healing in a pharmacy. I found it in the dirt, the stillness, and the truth.
This is what happens when the spirit heals the body.
Scientists are finally catching up to what the old ones already knew:
That chronic inflammation is often born from unspoken pain, from overwhelm your body’s been trying to hold for too long.
That the gut—the seat of intuition and immunity—calms when the heart does.
That skin clears when you stop fighting yourself and start living in rhythm again.
That the body remembers how to heal when we stop throwing more at it and start listening instead.
Meditation, prayer, walking barefoot, singing to the moon, sitting with the trees—not just “woo” practices, darling. These are medicine. The real kind. The kind that changes your cortisol, your cytokines, your entire immune dance.
And waking up earlier with more energy? That’s your nervous system saying,
“You are safe now. We can rest in shorter bursts because we are not at war anymore.”
I’m not saying supplements don’t matter…
…but I am saying alignment matters more. I’m saying you can’t out-supplement a soul that’s disconnected. You can’t out-medicate a life that’s starving for truth.
The body doesn’t lie. It tells on us.
And when the inflammation goes quiet, it’s because you finally stopped shouting over yourself.
So listen…
If you’re like me and tired of quick fixes…
If you’re noticing something shift—sleep changing, bowels calming, skin clearing, energy rising—
Don’t doubt it.
Trust it.
You are witnessing something sacred: the moment where your biology and your spirit become friends again.
Let others rush if they want to.
Let them chase.
You—just keep tending your garden, lighting your fire, and rising with the birds.
You’re already healing.
